The most widely used in the sheet metal processing industry is the general six-axis robot instead of manual to complete the bending process, but not every company is suitable for bending robot, in the process of communication with customers to truly understand the actual situation of customers before making recommendations, the following points are particularly important.
1. The weight of the workpiece: the robot is suitable for bending large workpieces; its biggest advantage is that it can work continuously for twenty-four hours a day, and the overall efficiency can be greatly improved under normal maintenance and trouble-free conditions. If manual bending is used, large workpieces have high requirements for the physical strength of workers, and can not work continuously. If the bending procedure is complex, the number of small workpieces, it is not recommended on the robot, the efficiency of manual bending will be much higher than the robot bending.
2. The type of workpiece: a robot, it is recommended to do five to six workpiece bending, a robot is impossible to cover all the bending workpiece of the enterprise, not that the robot can not fold, and if all cover, then the robot commissioning costs will be very high.
3. Optional: if the workpiece is large, or other reasons need bending area large, after the selection of the robot to add the seventh axis, which can increase the robot’s range of activities to meet the bending needs. There is also if the customer wants to reduce manual intervention, you can speed up the change of gripper, which can reduce the time for workers to change the robot gripper.
