Due to the difference in operator requirements and product accuracy between the two compensation methods, mechanical and hydraulic compensation, it is very important to choose the correct bending compensation.
Hydraulic compensation is the use of small cylinders to compensate the table, mechanical compensation is the use of tilt wedge to compensate the table. Slanting wedge can be divided into single slanting wedge and multiple groups of slanting wedge. The mechanical compensation made up of multiple wedge blocks has more compensation points, more than 3 compensation points of common hydraulic compensation, there is no compensation blind area, the bent workpiece has high accuracy, the difference between each processing plate is small, suitable for batch production.
CNC control hydraulic compensation: we set bending parameters in the cnc controller, such as plate thickness, plate length, material. the CNC controller will automatically calculate the required compensation value and then transmit the command to the compensation amplifier. The compensation amplifier sends the signal to the hydraulic compensation proportional valve, which controls the small cylinder bulge under the worktable to reduce the deflection of the plate.
However, the hydraulic compensation value is affected by various factors, such as whether the hydraulic oil is leaking, whether the joint is loose, etc., which can affect the amount of hydraulic compensation each time, resulting in inconsistency and variation in the processing of each sheet.
Hydraulic systems are more complex and may have problems such as oil leaks and loose seals. The advantage of hydraulics is that the machine does not suffer from wear and tear problems with increased use, whereas mechanical compensation can suffer from wear and tear problems.
Compared to mechanical compensation, hydraulically compensated machines are easy to operate and therefore can help bend with greater accuracy. In addition, the machine has higher durability.
Hydraulic compensation uses small cylinders to compensate the table, while mechanical compensation uses wedges to compensate the table. Slanting wedges can be further divided into single slanting wedges and multiple sets of slanting wedges.
Multi-group inclined wedge mechanical compensation has more compensation points than hydraulic compensation, common hydraulic compensation has only 3 compensation points, no compensation blind area, higher precision of folding workpiece, small processing plate each time, suitable for mass production.
Compared with the hydraulic compensation system, the mechanical compensation system is simpler, will not cause oil leakage and other situations, low failure rate, and environmental protection.
However, after long-term use, the mechanical convex bevel wedge will wear out and affect the compensation effect. Mechanical compensation has higher requirements for operation. If the workpiece needs to be bent in multiple steps, workers need to make real-time adjustments.
If the workpiece needs only one step bending, our workers are highly skilled. We can choose mechanical compensation from the perspective of workpiece accuracy. In the actual production, we must consider the ability of workers, the cost of highly skilled workers, etc.
To sum up, both hydraulic compensation and mechanical arch compensation have their own advantages. We can consider the configuration of CNC bending machine table compensation according to the above aspects.
