When the angle deviation of the bending workpiece is large or the surface roughness of the workpiece is large, the die should be repaired in time to change the die passivation and prolong the service life of the die. In general, before processing, the sheet metal master should first check the upper and lower dies of the bending machine. When there are obvious signs of wear on the surface, it should be necessary to repair the dies. The fewer cycles and times of die grinding, the easier it is to shorten its service life, reduce the quality of workpiece, increase the load of machine tool and reduce the product qualification rate.
There are various grinding methods for dies, the most common of which is to put the die on a special fixture, mount it flat and put it on a precision grinder, especially for circular die (R die) and forming die, which need to be equipped with high precision grinding wheels and die repair tools. Each time when grinding, the near tool size of 0.03mm to 0.05mm should be maintained. Repeated grinding not only fails to complete the processing, but also damages the mold and is generally not recommended. A moderate amount of most areas can be repaired, and eventually grinding in place after fine grinding, which is conducive to improving the accuracy of CNC press brake machine die and facilitating installation and commissioning.
