There is no requirement for bending and indentation, and processing methods such as cushion film, cushion plate, roller/pin roller, polyurethane, wing folding, etc. need to be selected according to the thickness of the plate.

Generally, there are three common methods for bending processing: cavity, bottom pressing, and stamping. In addition, there is also a large R bending method. The bending method is whether it is a standard mold with a one-shot one-shot arc, or an R mold once or several times. For processing arcs, all this information needs to be clarified on the bending processing drawings to prevent the randomness of processing on the production site. Take the arc cover made of 1.2mm galvanized sheet as an example. This product involves the processing of R99mm arcs. The unfolded length of the arc is 156.5mm. If a standard mold is used for step bending, each arc needs to be bent 31 knives, a total of 124 bends are required to process 4 arcs; if easy mold processing is used, each arc needs to be bent 2 knives, and 4 arcs are processed a total of 8 knives, which requires engineering design or outsourcing molds. Clarify the processing technology.

Generally speaking, the bending of the sheet metal parts of the chassis server requires the use of multiple sets of molds such as standard molds, tongue depressing molds, differential molds, avoidance molds, and flattening molds, in order to reduce mold installation and adjustment. Time, you can use the same height mold, the closed height of this mold is the same, as long as the clamping is performed once, multiple types of bending can be performed, and the efficiency can be improved by several times.

⑴At present, domestic colleges, technical schools, and vocational schools have no sheet metal majors or professional courses, and there is also a lack of specialized bending training institutions in the industry. The training of bending workers lacks theoretical guidance. Most apprentices follow their masters. It is a bad habit. There are many. Therefore, the company must conduct professional training or on-the-job training internally or externally. The company can also conduct specialized training according to the product, so that the engineering and technical personnel and the production site personnel can benefit at the same time and keep in step.

⑵Most companies have the concept of focusing on machine tools and ignoring molds, and lack education in related knowledge such as bending molds. Enterprises should pay attention to this. Industry associations can compile relevant articles published in magazines into a book (bending processing collection) for reference and study by various sheet metal processing enterprises.

(3) In order to reduce the heavy reliance on skilled workers at the production site, enterprises can introduce automatic bending equipment (such as bending manipulators) and related software (such as offline programming of bending, etc.) in a timely manner.
